A SIX-PIECE western swing band, fronted by Steve Somers who lived in Burnham with his family, in the 1980s and his son, Ben. Former New Faces TV show winner Steve was a member of folk group The Settlers and sideman to stars including Lonnie Donegan, Joe Brown, Johnny Tillotson, and Don Everly. He returns to the local stage for the first time in three decades with Ben on double bass and vocals. The band also includes singer and guitarist Marcus Bonfanti - a well-known performer on the blues circuit in his own right
NEW Orleans piano player Dale Storr won numerous music competitions as a boy, performing in local venues from the age of ten. A career as a sideman saw him work with blues-rockers King King, 60's star Dave Berry, American soul singer Earl Thomas, and many others. In 2006, Dale followed his true passion - the music of New Orleans piano heroes Professor Longhair, Dr.John, Allen Toussaint, Tuts Washington and James Booker and forge a successful solo career. Expect to hear anything from a classically-influenced minuet, a latin rhumba, a back o' town junker blues to a frenzied boogie woogie.
